1996 — 2026
This is a webpage I never thought I'd build. A page for my son. A man with many names, and one very big heart. The first time he hugged me, he fused to me - it was the best hug I've ever had in my life. I still feel him. Imprinted on me.
He was only twenty-nine. We didn't have enough time. I didn't have enough time.
He could build things and fix things with just a glance and a small sound. He loved the outdoors, bikes, cars, trucks and being in the air. He liked big, puffy clouds and big, fluffy, white cats.
He lived a few states away, and a whole part of his life belonged to his friends there. Please share a short video, photo(s), memory, story, or some shenanigans below. It’s the only way we will know that part of him now.
If you knew him as Nic, Kolya, or Ryan, or Vas or Quinn you’re in the right place. He answered to all of them depending on who was asking.
Whichever name you have for him is fine, he answered to all of them, and we do too.

The wall below is open to everyone. A photo from your phone, a story, a joke he made, or a line about what he meant to you. Nothing to sign up for, and it doesn’t need to be polished.

A memory box will be available for cards and special notes.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a fund toward funeral expenses. Contribute here.
Kolya never told us what he wanted, and we are not ready to let him go. For now, some of his ashes will be incorporated into artwork and jewelry we can keep close. When we have had time to grieve and process, we will decide where he will rest.
We would also like to share a small part of him with those who loved him. At the celebration, please ask us for a small sealed vial to take with you.
Keep him close or carry him somewhere he was happy—a track, trail, place he built, place he rode, or somewhere you shared a great memory. You may open the vial or bury it sealed.
On September 3rd, it was confirmed that Kolya had been found in Drake’s Creek near the Reginald Kirby Bridge on Old Scottsville Road, in Bowling Green, KY near where he lived for the past eight years. His death remains under investigation. If you saw or spoke with Kolya between August 27 and September 2, saw anyone at the creek or the bridge during that time, or know who he was with, please contact the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
